Taupō traditionally enters a representative Grade 12 and Grade 13 Team into the WaiBOP Federation J & Y leagues. These are competitive leagues played against the top teams from other WaiBOP clubs.

We are looking to enter a Grade 13 Team into the WaiBOP Federation Y League.

Who is eligible: Girls and boys born in 2008 (Grade 13) and girls born in 2007 (Grade 14).

When are the games: Sundays.  There are 18 rounds starting 11 April and concluding 29 August.

Where are the games: Every second game (on average) would be played in Taupō (home games), with away games mostly played in Tauranga or Hamilton, potentially with some games also in Rotorua and Cambridge and potentially other WaiBOP club locations.  Travel to away games is not provided by the club.

How many players do we need: We need a full squad of 16 players (games are 11 a-side).

When are trainings? Tuesday and Thursday, Crown Park, 3.50 – 5pm.  If you’re interested in being part of this team or learning more about it, please turn up to practices with playing gear, boots, shin pads and water.  If you can’t make either of these times, please contact Kris directly.
