Grade 5-6 – First Kicks (Born 2018 or 2019)

Players born in the years 2017 or 2018 will play 8 rounds of football (weather permitting), from 4 May until July 6.  Games are played on Saturday mornings at 9am or 10am.

Games are played at Crown Park, Taupō on the small fields adjacent Invergarry Road (First Kicks Fields 1 – 6) (see location). Time to be confirmed. The group spends the first half of the session doing fun activities (every player has a ball), and the second half of the session includes 3 * 8 minute games of 5 a-side (no goalie). Players are put into teams on the day.

Clothing

Wear clothes that allow them to run around easily, preferably shorts or tracksuit pants. The club colours are royal blue (if you’re buying shorts with the view to reusing them next year). These can be bought from Rebel Sports or with the Club Logo through the Merchandise tab, above).

Long socks and shin-pads are preferable. Football boots are preferable to gym/ running shoes.

Players will be allocated a green or yellow bib for the purposes of playing games (to be returned following each game). There are no mid-week practices for First Kicks, and no regular playing teams.

2024 Fees are $70
