Registrations are now open for Development squads for 2023 Term 1.

The purpose of the Taupo AFC Development Squads is to enhance the technical development of Junior and Youth players in a structured environment and under the guidance of professional coaches.

It will be generally suitable for players in Grade 8 (born 2015) to Grade 14 (born 2009).

2023 Details:

Where: Crown Park

Dates: Term 1: Thursdays, 23 February to 30 March (6 weeks)

Term 2: Mondays & Thursdays, 1 May to 29 June (9 weeks)

Term 3: Mondays & Thursdays, 17 July to 24 August (6 weeks)

Terms 2 & 3 – register for either Monday or Thursday session – or both! (Registration will be open for Term 2 at the end of Term 1)

Weather affected sessions may be postponed to another day, or to the next planned session. If you miss a session, you can catch up at the next one with coach agreement.

Times: Players will be separated into relevant ability groups.

Times to be confirmed, generally 4 – 5pm or 5 – 6 pm.

Cost:

* Term 1: $48

* Term 2: $72 (1 session night), $120 for both sessions

* Term 3: $48 (1 session night), $80 for both sessions

Reps football:

Taupo AFC will enter teams into different tournaments, festivals and inter-club friendlies during the season. Priority for these tournaments will be given to Taupo AFC Development Squad players on a rotational basis.
